Maddie's Topic - Polyhedra

Feb. 17th, 2009

Hey guys, so here's the stuff about polyhedra!!!
A polyhedron is basically a 3D polygon, it's essentially just a shape.
A polyhedron (pl. polyhedra) is a 3D shape composed of: 2D or planar faces, 1D or linear edges, 0D vertices represented by points and -1D which can be found by using abstract math theories.
Our application: polyhedron in chemistry: imagine the vertices as the atoms and the bonds to be the inside edges of the shape.
I.e. a pyramid, the inside resembles a tetrahedral atom.
Here's the pictures too!
